Make Poverty Monday - sorry history
the Monday at GB 05 is Make Poverty History day - Simon Bateson (yes he is Becki's - GB managers - brother!) is organising this day and will be looking for all programme areas to think about fitting their programming into this, the Make Poverty History national organisational group are v interested in using GB as a tool for promotion etc but are v aware the GB punter is an old hand at campaigning (apparently!!) so will be looking at what new can be done. Nothing is arranged yet but we might be lucky and get some big names but ... Think it would be good for us to think about is there anyone (speakers, worship groups etc) or any thing that would be good to do for that day in particular

not sure what we can do... but it would be good to connect. the symbol of the campaign is a white bracelet. is there a festival wide ritual that could be done with those?
speakers - geldof was very good at the trafalgar square thing, richard curtis is very involved so maybe could get him and dawn french?....
really? - impressed! simon is in middle of moving to London, when we know his email address i think it might be good for you to relay these contacts to him, unless we could get dawn french to lead the communion - she is a vicar isn't she? ;0)
